I joined the Watermans Glasgow office as a Trainee Solicitor in February 2019 and I aim to be fully qualified by February 2021.
I moved from Dumfries to Glasgow in order to attend university. I completed my law degree in 2017 at the University of Strathclyde and then completed my Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde, graduating in 2018.
At university, I was a regular participant in the Mooting Society and I hope to get the opportunity to showcase my talents in a real court!
I am extremely excited to continue my learning and development in the real world of practice as opposed to a lecture theatre; meet new people and encounter the challenges and rewards that come with Personal Injury.
Best Part of the Job
As Personal Injury relates to a broad range of accidents and illnesses, I enjoy learning about and being exposed to new concepts and aspects of the law which I hadn’t previously encountered. It is also fantastic to be able to help people who have been wronged and hopefully have a positive impact on their lives.
The team at Watermans are also exceptionally friendly, helpful and supportive which makes for a great working environment.
Hobbies & Interests
I have a strong interest in keeping fit and as a result, I go to the gym or go out running several times a week. I am a huge fan of Scottish football and regularly enjoy attending games at a Scottish club, where I am a season ticket holder. I also play in a 5-aside football team each week with friends. Apart from that, I enjoy eating out as I am not a great cook but I am trying to learn! My favourite pass time is relaxing with friends and family.
