The inspirational Calum Graham has been involved in promoting sport for over 25 years. Relentlessly putting others before himself for the good of his community in Annandale and Eskdale, Dumfries and Galloway, he’s founded countless successful, self-sustainable clubs and organisations, as well as delivering sporting events and training programmes across Scotland.
Throughout his career, he’s worked in partnership with schools and clubs to establish annual programmes of events funded through commercial sponsorship. In 2018 alone, Calum managed to secure £50,000 in funding from five local charities to support 25 young athletes. Furthermore, he’s developed education programmes for both coaches and volunteers to allow them to inspire and secure funding for many more people.
True to form, he sacrificed his own nomination to carry the Olympic torch but still used the 2012 games to encourage sporting participation for thousands across his region and keep the momentum going with legacy projects.
