Q&A with Rally Driver John MacCrone

Could you describe 2015 in five words?

The five words I would use to describe 2015 would be: tough, rewarding, difficult and character building!

What have been your sporting highlights/most satisfying moment?

My highlight of the year has to be completing in the WRC Rally in Germany, being on a great pace and picking up the Vatanen Touch award. Also being nominated for the end of season shoot out, all of which just happened to be my exact plan for the year.

What was your toughest challenge?

The toughest challenge of the year has to be without a doubt, dealing with the Mull accident.

What’s your favourite picture of you in action from 2015?

Outside of sport, what were your personal highlights?

Outside of rallying, it has been satisfying for my joinery work to be going so well and building up a business from it. Also I passed my motorbike test so looking forward to a road bike!

What are your goals for 2016?

My 2016 plans are still in progress, but I would like to be competing in a Championship rather than selected events. And as always – give everything I can to achieve the best possible results.

Finally, if you could sum up your plans for 2016 in one word what would it be?
