Enjoying three bedrooms, a large living room, a spacious dining kitchen (with a separate utility room), and a shower room, plus lovely garden grounds, an attached single garage, and a private driveway, this detached bungalow is situated in Lochranza. Providing a unique and rare opportunity, the bungalow, which was designed and built by the current owners 33 years ago, is on the market for the first time and is sure to appeal to families looking to relocate to the island or to have a lovely holiday home to escape to.
You walk through the front door into a practical entrance vestibule with storage, lasing through to a hall with additional built-in storage cupboards. On your left, you will find a living room, where a spacious footprint allows for various configurations of lounge furniture, all arranged around a feature fireplace (with an LPG fire inset), and a large window frames lovely open views. From here, sliding doors open into the neighbouring kitchen, creating a wonderfully sociable space for everyday family life and entertaining alike. The kitchen, which is also separately accessible from the hall, provides ample space for a dining area and additional lounge furniture. It is well-appointed with a range of glossy modern cabinetry, workspace, splashback tiling, and integrated appliances comprising an oven, hob, and extractor hood, whilst provision is made for freestanding appliances. The kitchen is supplemented by a separate utility room with external access.
The bungalow accommodates three double bedrooms, all offering plenty of space for furniture, with two also accompanied by built-in wardrobes. The largest bedroom also enjoys a sunny aspect. A shower room completes the accommodation on offer and comprises a corner shower enclosure and a WC-suite. The home is kept warm by an oil-fired central heating system and the windows are double glazed.
Externally, the property is set within lovely gardens featuring neatly kept lawns, patio areas for outdoor seating and barbecues, and a wealth of leafy trees and shrubs. Excellent private parking is provided by an attached single garage (with an electric door) and a private driveway.

Lochranza is thought to be the most scenically attractive of Arran’s villages and is sheltered by the surrounding hills. The village focal point is Lochranza Castle, which sits on a shingle spit. On the southern side of the loch, other attractions include the Isle of Arran Distillery, which began production in 1995, the large population of red deer, golden eagles, seals and otters and a 11-hole golf course. There is a ferry terminus that allows quick access to the stunning West of Scotland via Claonaig. Kintyre here we come ! The village has an active local community, post office, surgery and the ‘Stags’ restaurant, which is renowned for excellent food. The Lochranza Hotel has been purchased by the local community (December 2022) and has just re-opened (May 2023). Primary schooling is available at the nearby village of Pirnmill, with secondary schooling in Lamlash. Brodick (Arran’s main town) has two larger Co-Op supermarkets and a full range of professional services. Brodick is the port from which regular sailings throughout the day, serviced by Caledonian MacBrayne, lead to the mainland at Ardrossan. Commuters and travellers now benefit from Road Equivalent Tarrif (RET) ferry fares, which are substantially lower than before. Ardrossan has a main line rail station, with trains to Glasgow that connect with the ferry times, and is approximately 30 miles from Glasgow City Centre. Prestwick International Airport is 16 miles to the south of Ardrossan, with Glasgow International Airport 24 miles east of Ardrossan.
