Ross Craik
Head of IT
Ross's career has been a steady build-up of experience across IT and customer service, with his previous roles including IT Management, IT Service Desk Leadership and Customer Service Management in a position that spanned the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining Watermans, Ross's most recent role saw him head up the IT Service at a well-know housebuilding and housing development company, in a role that he held for 10 years.
"My most recent role really shaped my approach to leadership and service delivery; leading change projects, building the team, and helping the organisation to get the most out of its IT services.
"All of that experience naturally led me to Watermans. It felt like the right next step — a place where I can bring together what I’ve learned, work with great people, and contribute to a business that’s genuinely focused on quality and customer service."
"Outside of work, I’m a big sports fan and enjoy watching a wide range of games, especially football. I’m also someone who likes getting outdoors whenever I can - whether that’s a walk, some fresh air, or just escaping the screen for a while.
"One of my biggest passions, though, is cooking. I’ve got a particular weakness for making (and eating) pizza. In fact, I took it seriously enough to spend four days in London training with a pizzaiolo to learn how to perfect a proper Neapolitan pizza. The downside is that combining a love of food with a love of relaxing in front of sport isn’t always ideal for the waistline… but trying to perfect pizza requires lots of practice!"
Best thing about your job
"What I enjoy most about my job is the mix of people, problem solving, and the opportunity to make things run better for everyone. I am always looking at ways to help improve something that might not be as productive or efficient as it could be, understanding the root cause, and helping shape it so it genuinely makes life easier for the customers who rely on it. It's satisfying when you can see improvements that have a positive impact.
