Watermans senior solicitor Heather Tierney calls for compulsory dog insurance in her recent publication in the Times.

One of the senior solicitors at Watermans had written a commentary piece highlighting importance of introducing compulsory dog insurance for all dog owners.

Statistics show that admissions to Scottish hospitals caused by dog attacks increased by 80%. Similar, the amount of dog attack claims has been rising.  Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about securing compensation for dog attack victims.

In her article for The Times, Heather explains why introducing third party compulsory dog insurance for all dog owners would create similar system to that of car insurance, ensuring financial and medical cover if accidents happen.
