About the role
As a Purchase Negotiator at Watermans, your responsibilities will include
- Being the first point of contact for queries from clients and prospective clients
- Handling telephone calls to the department, including liaising with clients and other third parties
- Production of accurate, timely and professionally presented documents
- Submitting notes of interest and offers on behalf of clients
- Negotiating property purchases for clients
- Allocating cases to solicitors and paralegals within agreed timeframes
- Managing files on our case management system
- Maintaining confidentiality in accordance with the requirements of the firm and GDPR
- Completion of any other duties as requested by your line manager or other more senior colleagues within the firm
The salary for this role is competitive and includes access to private healthcare. This position is a full-time role, ideally based in our Glasgow office , with hybrid working options available.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 years’ experience in a Private Client Solicitor role or have completed a Private Client focused traineeship. We welcome applicants who are confident in communicating clearly, and with empathy, with both clients and colleagues, and willing to share their knowledge and experience with the wider team. You will also be a highly organised individual, which would be reflected in your workload management.

As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload. Your work will require you to be proficient in handling estates, wills and powers of attorney, as well as collaborating with your team.
