One of Scotland’s most successful swimmers Hannah Miley had a few days to saviour after scooping two golds at Manchester’s International Swim Meet and picking up a set of a new wheels.
Hannah returned home after winning the 400m individual medley and 800m freestyle to collect the keys to her new car, provided by law firm Watermans Accident Claims and Care, who Hannah will act as an Ambassador for ahead of the Olympics next year.
To help Hannah on the road to Olympic glory Watermans has provided her with the car that will allow her to get to and from events and sessions on her packed training schedule, as well as significant funding support to help her get all the way to Rio de Janiero in August 2016.
Hannah, 25, from Inverurie, who is currently preparing for trials for the Team GB 2016 Olympics squad, has recently stepped up her training and says that having a car and Watermans support will be invaluable: “Watermans support is so crucial to performance. Their sponsored car will help get to me to training every morning at 5am. I’m thrilled to have Watermans as part of my team on my journey to Rio!”
Hannah is the latest sports star to join team Watermans as an ambassador, with the firm also supporting boxer Lewis Benson and rally driver John MacCrone.
Scott Whyte, Managing Director of Watermans Accident Claims and Care, said:
“Watermans are proud to be helping one of the country’s most talent sportspeople achieve her dream of competing in and hopefully securing a medal at Rio 2016. It’s important that Scotland’s up-and-coming sports stars get the support they need to train properly, and there can be no question about Hannah’s talent and commitment. We’re thrilled to be able to help Hannah on her quest to become an Olympic medallist, and we’ll be behind her every step of the way to Rio.”
