Emma Beattie
Graphic Designer
Emma graduated from GCU with an Honours Degree in 3D Animation and Visualisation, where she then began her career undertaking various internships before finding her passion with graphic design.
"I graduated during the height of Covid, which was a whole other level of challenging! I have worked with companies such as Peter Vardy and The Kitchen Depot, creating visually successful content within marketing departments. Being trained in 3D gave me a stepping stone to more optimised design as I could apply my graphics to realistic landscapes."
"Outside of work I like to spend my time going round the local garden centres on a rotational basis, where you'll usually find me with a large slice of cake and a cup of tea. Luckily, I manage to offset the calories by going on woodland walks with my handsome golden retriever, Bear."
Best thing about your job
"Working as a graphic designer at Watermans is a really unique experience. Taking a non-visual subject matter and putting a design spin on it gives me huge scope for creativity. The team here are brilliant, it's very fulfilling to work with like-minded individuals who are all aligned to strive towards success."
Simple and Straightforward
"I was nervous and unsure of the idea of getting into a complicated legal situation, but that turned out to be simple and straightforward. I was very impressed with the claim amount they managed to secure for me - more than what was anticipated!"
