A team from Watermans Solicitors joined over 200 people at Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance first Charity Ball at The Hub, Edinburgh on Friday 16th November. The Ball provided an excellent opportunity for SCAA’ supporters to come together and celebrate SCAA’S five years of operation, during which their crew has attended almost 2,000 time-critical emergencies throughout Scotland. The event helped to raise over £51,000 for the charity.
The partnership with SCAA began when Watermans sponsored their 6-foot paramedic mascot in 2017. Since then, Watermans have been helping to raise funds for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) at many events throughout Scotland, highlighting the need for greater awareness of the dangers to venerable road users on Scottish roads.
The SCAA launched its helicopter air ambulance in May 2013 to assist the Scottish Air Ambulance Service (SAAS) and relies entirely on public donations to operate. Every year, SCAA responds to more than 250 life-saving missions. More than half are for road traffic accidents, motorbike collisions, horse riding injuries, fall and impact injuries; another 20% are for medical crises and a further 15% for cardiac emergencies.
Watermans Solicitors has ongoing projects with Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance who provide vital emergency services to people injured in road traffic accidents on Scottish roads.
