Ronnie Duncan

Competing at his first Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Ronnie had the perfect campaign, winning gold in both Triples and Fours. Neck and neck with hosts Australia in the Triples final the Scotland trio of Ronnie, Derek Oliver and Darren Burnett secured a 19-14 win – Scotland’s first ever medal in this event.

In the Fours, Ronnie teamed up with defending champions Alex Marshall and Paul Foster as well as fellow Games debutant Derek Oliver to claim a second gold. Ronnie was also part of the Four that took bronze at the 2016 World Championships in New Zealand.

When he’s not winning gold overseas, Ronnie is a proud member of Bonnyrigg Bowling Club.
