Jennifer Court
Senior Associate
Jennifer completed her LLB at the University of Strathclyde and thereafter the Diploma in Legal Practice before completing her traineeship with a well-known full service Firm in 2009. Since then, Jennifer has worked almost exclusively in Family Law, and joined the Watermans Family Law team in January 2023.
Jennifer handles all matters relating to financial provision on separation and divorce, cohabitants claims and issues relating to residence and contact. Jennifer also undertakes Guardianship work within the terms of the Adults With Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
“Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with friends and family and acting as part time taxi driver to my children’s numerous activities, most of which involve standing at the side of freezing cold sports pitches. When released from the constraints of the football season I enjoy going on holiday to sunnier shores, having undertaken a number of travelling adventures through Europe and Australasia”.
Best Thing About The Job
“I am privileged to assist people and families who are having to cope with enormously stressful situations where emotions and anxiety often run high. I aim to deliver legal advice and representation in a straightforward and compassionate manner that enables clients to make fully informed decisions about how to resolve the legal, and often practical issues, that they face.”
Straightforward Experience
“I have had a thoroughly straightforward, hassle-free experience. I was kept informed every step of the way, without query, about the progress of my case.”
