Watermans in the running for two Scottish Law Awards

Leading legal firm Watermans Accident Claims and Care is up for two awards at The Law Awards of Scotland.

The personal injury specialists have been shortlisted in ‘Law Firm of the Year Under 40 Fee Earners’ category and Managing Director Scott Whyte has been nominated for ‘Managing Partner of the Year.’ The winners of the awards, which have been organised by The Herald, will be announced in a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow on November 24.

Watermans MD Scott Whyte said: “The Scottish legal profession is full of excellent firms and talented solicitors, so it’s testament to our people’s talent and abilities that we’ve been shortlisted for the fee earners award. I see first-hand the hard work that everyone within the firm puts in on a daily basis to deliver results and justice for people who have suffered an injury.  Every single member of staff has contributed to securing this nomination.”

“It’s also a tremendous feeling of pride for me to be up for MD of the year. I’ve now been at Watermans for six years and my passion for the business and taking care of people who need our help is as strong as ever. Nominations like this offer a clear indication to people that we can be trusted to support their claim and recovery from injury.”

The nomination for Scott caps off an impressive few weeks for him as he was recently named on the Scottish Business News Network’s ’40 Under 40’, a list highlighting people who have made a significant contribution to their professional sector  throughout the country. He also received accreditation as a specialist in personal injury from the Law Society of Scotland, of which there are only 73 operating in Scotland.
