Watermans Accident Claims and Care support many charities throughout Scotland. With one of Edinburgh’s biggest sporting events coming up, Waterman’s is proud to be getting involved for a good cause. The Edinburgh Marathon running events will be held on the 25th and 26th May 2013.
This year just over 30,000 runners will be taking part. Deemed the “fastest marathon in the UK” by Runner's World magazine, runners of all abilities can participate in running the full marathon, half marathon, or team events. There are also junior events for the next generation of Mo Farah's and Paula Radcliff's!
Waterman’s solicitors take part in many sporting events throughout the year. Whether it’s paintball events, five-a-side football tournaments, or charity quiz nights – we're always up for a bit of competition! So, with this in mind, we set the challenge for our group of “elite athletes” to complete the Edinburgh Half Marathon and to raise as much money as possible for charity. And of course they accepted!
The Watermans Accident Claims and Care team consists of Laura Wallace, Willie Sives, Nikola Cunningham, Natalie Bruce and Stephanie Kellock. They will be raising money for the Edinburgh based charity, Royal Blind. The team chose this charity as they were touched by the fantastic work they do in providing a variety of services for those who are visually impaired or who have disabilities. The Royal Blind are reliant on the continued support and generosity of individuals, companies and trusts in helping them achieve their targets for the variety of fundraising projects for 2013.
You can support the team and the fundraising projects of the Royal Blind by digging deep and donating through the Watermans Accident Claims and Care secure Just Giving page. We've set a target of hitting £500 minimum, but we're hopping this will be blown out the water by your generosity!
The team would like to thank you for your support and hope to see you at the finishing line!
