A railway conductor has been awarded over £43,000 in compensation after he was left injured in a road accident.
The sum was issued to the client in July after he pursued a successful compensation claim through our leading personal injury firm Watermans Solicitors.
Claims handler Laura Swan said the man had been driving his six-month-old luxury Mercedes in Oban in October last year when a third party smashed into the rear end of the car.
The crash victim was slowing down to pull into a layby on the A819, Inveraray, when the other driver failed to notice and collided with his vehicle.
Concerned about his injuries and repair costs of the vehicle, the man instructed Watermans Solicitors to act on his behalf.
Claims expert Laura arranged for the client’s injuries to be examined and found that he had suffered from a series if injuries which according to medical experts, would take up to a year to recover from.
Laura said: “The client’s vehicle was a six month old prestige vehicle which had suffered extensive damage as a result of the accident which meant the costs of the repairs were high.
“We had arranged for the vehicle repairs to be carried out by one of our expert garages in prestige vehicles, Foz Sports and the client was provided with a like for like hire vehicle to minimise any disruption for him whilst the repairs were underway.
“A final settlement of £43,046 to cover the cost of the repairs, the hire invoice and personal injury was agreed with the insurers of the at fault party.”
If you were either the passenger or the driver in a car accident, and you feel the accident was not your fault, you are entitled to claim compensation for your injuries from the party which caused the accident.
