I have been practising as a personal injury solicitor since I qualified in 1999 and am an accredited specialist in personal injury law. I have always worked for those injured and never insurance companies. I am also a member of APIL, an association dedicated to dedicated to promoting the interests of accident victims and the improvement of services provided by the personal injury lawyer. I have considerable experience in dealing with a large variety of claims such as road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public liability and catastrophic injury claims along with different types of industrial disease and CICA claims.
I have had various successes in cases both in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court and ran and won the first case on Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in the Court of Session in Edinburgh – Kathleen Denholm –v- Gates Power Transmission Lord Eassie 2nd August 2005. I was recently involved in representing Health Visitors at a FAI involving the death of a baby and so as you can see my experience is varied.
Seeing cases come to successful conclusion with victims of injury getting the maximum compensation they deserve. I always do my best to try and make the process as straightforward and as understandable as it can be for people so that they are always aware of what is happening at all times.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family with my two young children occupying a large amount of my social time. When I get the time I listen to music and play the guitar – much to the amusement of my family.
